South South Leaders have planned a grand event to honour the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi for delivering a historic and landmark Bodo Bonny Road and Bridges Project in Rivers State.
“This event is to send message that the people of Niger Delta are solidly behind the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and are ready to vote for him in the next election, a statement jointly signed by the Chairman of the Award Organizing Sub-Committee, Professor Jasper Jumbo and the Secretary, HRH, Ubokikwan Gabriel Ogbologwung PhD, said,
It further said, the former Minister of Works, Babatunde Raji Fashola SAN, Minister of State, RT. Hon. Muhammad Bello Goronyo and the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Hon. Rafi’u Olarinre Adeladan would also be honoured at the event for their roles in the successful completion of the project.
It said, the Medallion Award Ceremony slated for Friday, the 27th, March 2026, at the ‘Yaradua Centre, Abuja was organized in honour of distinguished National Leaders whose vision and commitment delivered the historic Bodo Bonny Road and Bridges infrastructure legacy.
“The project is a high-powered trans boundary infrastructure. For the successful completion of the road in the first term of the administration, the people of Niger Delta Region will no doubt vote massively for the second term of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Niger Delta region have won silver and gold and we are not taking that for granted”, it said.
“This event is very important to the people of Niger Delta because it takes leaders with large heart to dare the harsh terrain of the Coastal Fringes of the Niger Delta to make this kind of immeasurable history that the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi have prioritized.
That’s why, the President, the minister of works and also the construction company, Julius Berger of Nigeria who made the project a priority and delivered the time tested infrastructure project in record time deserve our commendation and appreciation.
“All the Niger Delta people here and in the diaspora are happy with this project and we are coming out en-masse to support the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for second term, the Chairman and the secretary said.
