Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has finally sacked Alhaji Shehu Wada Sagagi as Commissioner for Investment, Commerce and Industry.
The news of his removal which said it was with immediate effect, was issued in a statement signed by the Director Media and Publicity, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa on Thursday.
According to the statement, Sagagi has been directed to hand over the affairs of the ministry to the Director of Commerce pending further directives.
While he acknowledged Sagagi’s contributions to the development of the state, particularly in the areas of politics, religion, and the growth of small and medium enterprises, Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation for his services during his tenure in office.
The governor also wished him success in his future endeavours, reassuring the public of his administration’s continued commitment to efficient service delivery, good governance in line with the ongoing strategic realignment of government structures for sustainable development in Kano State.
However, the removal of Sagagi as Commissioner might not be unconnected with his perceived loyalty to Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
